Breaking the Wall by Yegor (Egor) Kolesnikov

A sparkling tunnel woven from star threads. That’s how I tried to express the inexpressible nature of the way between Earth and Heaven. I could observe anything I wanted: any city, any person, any soul in the dreamland I was heading to! Even the crying sinners in Hell couldn’t escape my sight. There was only one thing I couldn’t reach — the space behind the walls of the tunnel. I knew that in Heaven I was going to be happy, but I didn’t want happiness. The Serpent had me in its nets. I desired the Forbidden Fruit. I used all my power, will, and energy to change route and crashed into the Wall. I didn’t see anything, and I would cry if I could, but the emptiness hugged me and granted me the true death — peaceful and eternal non-existence.
