Broken laughter,

Empty wishes,

A ticking clock,

And long-dead fishes.

Trapped behind an iron door,

This fish will see a friend no more,

Flopping helpless on the frozen ground,

Cast aside, it waits to be found.

Nevertheless, the fish is left to rot,

Left alone among its thought.

Forgotten among the tattered things,

Never to be seen again by another being.
