The ocean.

So vast and beautiful,

Its waters shining like crystals in the bright light.

Gold.

Silver.

Small waves soothing your mind,

Lulling you to sleep

Amidst the chilly midnight breeze

Under the moon’s protective embrace.

A dream.

When suddenly,

The sea yanks you underneath its cloak

Where darkness wraps around you,

Inescapable.

You fight.

But you can’t—

The sea is much stronger than you.

Don’t you know?

Your breathing slows,

Down

Down

Down

You go.

Broken bones on the seafloor.
